Giveaway!

I have a surprise for you today. CNS Stores are kindly giving one of my lucky UK readers a £50 gift voucher to use in one of their online stores.

CSN Stores has great online stores where you can find everything from cookware to ceiling lights to furniture. I bought few cookery items from them and they have an excellent service. Why you should not try them?

How you can win a £50 voucher? All you have to do is to leave a comment in this post about what is your favourite holiday destination for culinary reason. I am staying in UK this summer so I would love to read some of your stories and imagine that I am somewhere else, eating tasty food. Write about it! Make my mouth watering. How simple is that?

The deadline is Tuesday, 20th July at midnight. I will announce a winner on Wednesday so please stay tuned; check my website so I can contact the winner to give you the full details of this giveaway.

  2. I would say India! It is such a vast country and each part of the country has it's own cuisine and flavour profile so there's something for everyone :). In Northern India like Delhi, Punjab and Rajasthan the dishes are usually rich and very flavorful. In Bengal, the cuisine is seafood based and extremely fresh thanks to the Bengal coast. In Gujurat, the cuisine is spicy and delicious where in the South the food is rice and lentil based and purely vegetarian. Whatever part you visit in India, you are sure to embark on a culinary adventure!!

  3. France is a country where eating out is a weekly pleasure, and not an occasional treat. Get beyond the Haute Cuisine, and the simplicity of French food is beautiful.

What could be better than cracking open a fresh loaf or baguette and piling on the creamy cheese? French shops are filled with real food- juicy vegetables and fresh meat and fish, crying out for your full attention. And boy do the French know how to cook sauces to compliment them!

  4. Dzien dobry Karolina,
I like the food here in Poland.

My wife is Polish and we visit each year a couple of times (you can read about the latest on my blog).

I love the fact that even the supermarkets always have a kiosk selling cakes, as well as all of the smoked sausage etc that just isn't available in England.

    Do widzenia!

  7. I actually really like Lebanese food - a really nice kebab with good quality chicken or lamb cooked to tenderness with garlic dip and hot fresh flat-bread and salad, not to mention proper tabbouleh with plenty of parsley and fresh fish. I love Moutabaal dip which is made by slow roasting aubergines and home-made hommous. It's a simple cuisine but very satisfying if done well!

  8. There are several things which would beckon me back to the Yemen and its food is ranking top.

In the ancient days, the South Arabian people imported spices from India when combined with fresh products and millennia of experience, the result is just a foodie dream.

Yemeni people love their meat: Hanid, lamb meat cooked in typical oven with spices accompanied by flat bread and a Mocha coffee does it for me every time.
